To qualify for the Special Interest Vehicle (SIV) concession, you must provide evidence of current membership with an incorporated vehicle club or association. Membership must remain valid for the entire period the vehicle is registered under the scheme.

Officers from Transport and Main Roads may check compliance with membership requirements at any time.

The Queensland Volvo & Saab Club will supply evidence of your current membership. This documentation will be on the club’s official letterhead, include the club’s details, and be signed by a club official. It will also list details of your vehicle, such as its make, model, year, and chassis number.

To get started, contact the club’s Concessional Registration Officer using the form below.

Please note that photographs or additional information may be required to process your application.

The name on your membership must match the name on your Transport and Main Roads account (eg. drivers license)
The address in which the car is registered. This is important for the approval letter you will receive.
All relevant terms and restrictions are available from Queensland Transport:

By submitting this form and selecting “I agree” you agree to use the SIV registration within the rules set out by Queensland Transport listed under “Special Interest Vehicle Concession Scheme guide”. You also agree to carry the relevant paperwork with you at all times.

Failure to comply with these terms may result in your registration suspension which may impact any future SIV applications with the club.
